Cancellation of the 2024 Edition of the Ath Open International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

Due to the current situation, it is with deep regret that the organizing committee of the Ath Open announces the cancellation of the 2024 edition of its international wheelchair tennis tournament. This decision, although difficult to make, has emerged as the most reasonable to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and stakeholders.

For more than two decades, the Ath Open has been an unmissable event, bringing together extraordinary athletes, passionate supporters, and committed partners. In the 22 previous editions, the committee has always been able to count on the unwavering support of many partners and sponsors, whose generosity and commitment have been essential to the success of the event. We would like to thank them warmly for their continued loyalty and support.

We also express our gratitude to the enthusiastic players, whose determination and talent have made each edition a true celebration of sport and inclusion. Their participation has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation for all of us.

A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers, who, year after year, dedicate their time and energy to the successful organization of the tournament. Their hard work and dedication have allowed the Ath Open to become a benchmark event in the world of wheelchair tennis.

We would like to thank in particular the service clubs who have given us their help and their precious support. Their contribution has been crucial to the smooth running of each edition and has largely contributed to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.

We know that this cancellation is a disappointment for all those who, like us, were looking forward to this new edition.
